As my previous post states, I am loonggg overdue with an IG update. I went from updating every Sunday consistently to dropping off the face of the planet.
I think I will set an alarm (have I said this before?) on my iDevices.
If you follow me on instagram and/or on facebook, you’re pretty much caught up. I’ve been buying spikes, skulls, etc, from different websites to jazz up some of the things that I already have in my closet! You will see them in my pictures below Be prepared for a long post. I haven’t updated in about a month :X
Latest to the earliest:
Island Vintage’s acai bowl is the most amazing thing on this plant!
I’ve been watching my carb intake. Seriously cutting more than half of my usual intake. So having sushi was a treat! Love Genki’s spicy ahi bowl!
I’ve been doing my eye brows differently lately and thank goodness because I love them more
I LOOOOVEEEEE chicken. Especially BBQ chicken. That’s all. Lol.
I bought this spiked head wrap/band a long time ago and didn’t use it all that much. Now I have the perfect excuse! Spikes with a big bun! Buy a similar one here.
I got a bunch of gold spikes so I spiked my True Religions. The bf also taught me (oh yes he did, haha) how to make these bracelets. I just went on the more creative tip and added spikes and on a gold link chain. LMK if you want one, I’ll be selling them!
OOTD: Neon on neon on neon. (Wearing: Unif hellraiser shoes, Tory Burch belt, Joe’s Jeans shorts, Louis Vuitton x Stephen Sprouse Speedy 30, Balenciaga bracelet, Louis Vuitton Favorit bracelet, Gucci sunglasses and F21 yellow tank and spiked bracelet.)

This is the bracelet style the bf taught me how to make. This is my girly rendition with spikes
My bf is better at it
OOTD: Turquoise on snake print. (Wearing: Unif hellraisers flats, Se7en snake print shorts [similar], Asos spiked bracelet, various F21 bracelets, Tarina Tarantino skull rosary, Rebecca Minkoff MAC clutch and F21 top.)
I love my new Michael Kors iPad case! Thanks bf!
I love my new Minkie (Rebecca Minkoff) bag! Black on black everything!
I had this pants in my closet for months and only worn them recently. Love them! I would never believe that I would like F21 jeans. Now I do :O (Wearing: Steve Madden glitter flats, F21 top and print denim, Louis Vuitton Speedy 30, Marc Jacobs link bracelet, Balenciaga bracelet and Juicy Couture charm bracelet in pink.)
Jurison’s mochiko chicken and bbq beef bento. NOM!!
The BF looking dapper at my friends wedding. Gay guy magnet I tell you. Lol.
All made up for my friends wedding.
I had spikes and I applied them to almost everything. LOL!
Happy memorial day weekend! Luckily, I have one day off to spend with my freedom fighter. We spent the day checking out the deals. I’ve come to realize that I am not a sale shopper. I don’t like crowds, how sales people don’t care about making money because its busy so they don’t care anyone and I don’t like shopping in racks where I have to sift through things.
I have a great jewelry haul that I will post a little later
(Wearing: Levi’s denim shirt, Steve Madden flats, Louis Vuitton bag, Tory Burch belt, Tory Burch, Balenciaga and UO bracelets and True Religion shorts.)
New Balenciaga baby!
My first time making salt & pepper pork! (See recipe at the end of this post)
Of course there are more photos on my instagram. Make sure you add me: richeiie
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Spend it with your family and if you have a soldier(s) in your life, tell them “thanks“! Here’s me and my soldier
Salt & pepper pork
Recipe found online from google
2 tbsp of flour
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 – 1/4 lbs of boneless thin-cut pork chops
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Combine the flour, soy sauce, sugar, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix together until the ingredients are smooth. Put your pork in and make sure that they are all covered with the marinade. Cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for a hour to 24 hours. Put a frying pan on medium heat with your 2 tbsp vegetable oil and fry pork. Turn them when they are golden brown. Cook time differentiates with the thickness of your pork cuts.
This past weekend was awesome! It was the bf & I’s 8th year anniversary and it was fun! We got to watch The Avengers, which was amazing. I cannot even remember the last time we even seen a movie. Haha. We also had dinner at Ruth Chris, checked out the newly opened TJ MAXX, shopped almost every major mall and shopping center in HI and more. I enjoyed this past weekend enough to dread to go back to work today. Bleh. That’s life.
Breaking out my graffiti speedy. It’s been a while. I’ve been using a lot of smaller bags lately. Wearing: MK watch, Louis Vuitton Speedy and bandeau, Sam Edelman flats, True Religion Julie denim (similar) and Nordstrom top (a cute similar version).
Going back old school with the Nilla Wafers.
The bf bought me one dozen lavender roses, one dozen red roses and one dozen of lilies.
I have an alien in my hair. Haha.
Hokulani’s cupcakes! Lilikoi, strawberry shortcake, snikerdoodle, lychee cupcake with strawberry frosting, orange cream and red velvet cupcakes.
Shopping day in the west side.
First time at Koa’s Pancake house (banana pancakes).
I LOVE Leonard’s Bakery malasadas. I die all the time X_X
I loved the black version so much that I had to get the gold pair. Love these Steve Maddens.
Breaking her out again. It’s been a while.
New bracelets in. (Jewelmint rose thorn bracelet and various others)
Taking my new YSL clutch out for a spin. I got to say, I’m pretty happy that I did side with the purple. Even through all the indecisiveness.
Note: If you are going to get these heels, I went up half a size because at first they ran small but now they are huge. My foot keeps slipping out. I need to find some padding!
- A rose gold or gold watch
- Those Sam Edelman booties I seen at Saks
I’ve been ridiculous on F21 online lately. I want to blame it on the stresses of life. Many of the items I’m wearing in this post is from there.
My stresses: Trying to find a new place before my lease is up (which is the end of June 2011); My mom & dad’s health issues; JKO trying to find a better job and might have to move to either another state or country; Still trying to do my own job while having to deal with everything else; My future.
WEARING: F21 blazer, cuff bracelet, rose necklace, stud earrings and print top; True Religion “Joey” cut-off shorts; Michael Kors ceramic watch; Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Speedy 30 and Steven Sprouse leopard bandeau; Chanel thongs.
I think macaroons (the colorful ones) are one of the most beautiful desserts I’ve ever seen. I finally found a place in Hawaii that has them and I just had to try it!
The tan macaroon is Kona coffee, pink is strawberry and the light yellow with green is lilikoi.
I didn’t exactly know what to expect but they have an interesting texture and are incredibly sweet. My favorite one is the Kona coffee. I definitely want to taste the haupia macaroon next time I also didn’t try the lilikoi, I guess you can call it “sand bagging“. I didn’t even taste it. I just let it go to waste. Oh wait, I shared half with my roommate who just said it was “alright“.
I remember when I went to my first Metropark, it was in 2006 when I was vacationing to Las Vegas with the BF. I instantly fell in love. I literally went to the stores in vegas everyday until I left. It wasn’t just the clothes, it was the people, music and the art. I kept bugging them about opening a store in Hawaii. I went back in 2007 and spent everyday going to the stores just so I wasn’t missing a thing. Going to MP was one of the top reasons to go to LV.
In late 2007 and early 2008, I took one of the managers advice and just applied online for whenever they decide to open a location in Hawaii, and I did. Then one day, I got the phone call and a voice message, I called back and left a message and swore that I hung up, apparently I didn’t and you could hear me screaming in the background (according to my old boss).
I got hired and I didn’t care what position I was in, I was going to college full-time and I just wanted to be a part of the whole experience. I ended up getting promoted almost every year and loved my experience there. Like most jobs, it was a love/hate relationship.
I started in March 2008 and had a bitter uncertainty leaving in June 2010. Still shopped there about every week to visit friends. I found out in May 2, 2011 that they filed for bankruptcy. So of course I had to buy whatever I could! I loved this business, the people, the experience.
The liquidator putting up signs.

I have an obsession with bows, like many girls. Especially in the blogging world (don’t try to deny it!). I almost D I E D when I saw this top at Eden in Love‘s 1st birthday bash I’m actually wearing it backwards. I thought it looked much better with the zipper in the front.
WEARING: Metropark straw fedora and silver hoop earrings, Eden in Love bow tank and gold chain necklace, Michael Kors ceramic watch, F21 ivory cardigan, Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene “Eva” clutch and Monogram “Favourit” bow bracelet, Juicy Couture gold charm starter bracelet, Nordstrom gold ring w/ pink stone, True Religion “Joey” cut-off denim shorts and “Tippper” black sandals.
Let’s not forget about my Eden in Love haul! I’ve been trying to add more “pop” colors into my outfits.
Tan top with a ruffle back & red tank with an open back.
Mint green tank & bow tank.
Leather bow bracelets. Aren’t they adorable?!
Tan blazer (that I’ve been looking high-and-low for) from the GAP. Oh and this is the very first thing I’ve ever bought from the GAP. Just sayin
I just reached 80,000 hits and I think I should do a giveaway soon! I thought something along the lines of bows would be a great giveaway
Spring is a time for girly prints, bright colors… Just everything girly. I love being girly, but sometimes I have to add my little “edginess” to it. Hence, the spikes and skull rosary. I’m still going through my blazer obsession guys, so bare with me
WEARING: Tarina Tarantino skull rosary in black, Oliver Peoples “Donyale” sunglasses, Metropark hematite spike bracelet, hematite pyramid double-ring, navy blue 3/4 sleeve blazer and black stud earrings, Michael Kors white ceramic watch, Nordstrom white tank, True Religion “Julie” denim in pebble with black stitching, Prada nylon puffer bow flats and Louis Vuitton Empriente Luminues bag in infini.
I know, I know. You guys must be sick of my LV bag, MK ceramic watch and Oliver sunglasses. I can’t help it! They are my favorite things! That and I’ve been too lazy to switch bags lately. This one is just so easy because it matches with everything. I’ll change in the next pictures, promise.
In my previous post, I mentioned that I’ve been “cheating on clothes/bags/shoes for entertainment” and this is exactly what I mean..
Nintendo DS Dragon Quest VI (courtesy of Nintendo), 999, Nintendogs 3DS and Super Street Fighter 3DS
DJ Hero 2! I have the first one and I was going to eventually pick up the second one. It’s on sale for $29!
PS3 controller recharge stand. *HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Metropark long-sleeve button up, navy blue blazer and brown leather jacket.
Jewelry tray and angel wing accessory stand
Black & Decker coffee maker (since I’m pretty sure I broke my roommates) and a griddle! Just to make the perfect pancakes
MISSING: Black Swan bluray and Tangled bluray. Two very G R E A T movies!
Everyone is being smacked in the face with nudes, rose pink, whites, just all kind of light colors. I haven’t completely abandoned my dark clothes, but these natural colors have really got a hold on me. Especially the rose pinks and golds. Lately I’ve been looking for more gold jewelry. I’m very picky so I haven’t been having the best of luck. I need these in my closet! Not really the brand names, just the ideas of these. Well.. Maybe the brand names n_n/
I finally got my good deal, but overly priced with shipping, Opteka RC-2 controller for my Nikon. I tested it out for the first time and I need to get adjusted to it. I need to find a better setting for the camera to work with me. Most of my head-to-toe shots were blurry. Trial and error, right people?
I’ve been dying to take those Prada flats out for a spin and I was amazed by how it easily broke in. This is what I love about designer footwear, you don’t have to kill your feet to break them in (well the ones I got so far have been great, I’m sure some styles are deathly). Unless someone can tell me other brands!
WEARING: Chanel silver stud earrings with black stud, Metropark double-wrap leather bracelet with pyramid and c/z studs and infinite loop scarf, Eden in Love stripe and polkadot tank, Nordstrom 3/4 sleeve blazer, Gucci embossed leather belt with GG logo, True Religion “Krissa” cargo denim, Juicy Couture lavender starter charm bracelet and mother-of-pearl purple flower ring, Michael Kors white ceramic watch and Prada nylon puffer bow flats.
I just realized that I do not have anything Louis Vuitton in this picture! I usually have something (of course I used my Empriente Lumineuse bag to work today) in the pictures. This was just a work outfit.
