YUM Review: Cinnamon’s at Kailua
Today I had a wonderful, yet tiring, breakfast at Cinnamon’s Kailua with the roommate, Jonelle, her bf & JKO. This was the very first time for JKO and I. Pretty shameful for JKO since he was BORN & RAISED IN KAILUA. What a freak. >:|
Anywhoo….
Apparently Cinnamon’s is known for their Egg’s Benedict & Guava Chiffon Pancakes (that’s what the menu said), so I ordered it. I apologize for no personal pictures, I was so hungry.
The Guava Chiffon Pancakes look delicious. Plus, it’s my favorite color, hot pink
I’m very partial to maple syrup, so I expected it to be on the sweeter side. It was pretty tart and I’m not a big fan of that, especially for breakfast. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, just not for me, it doesn’t have the balance of sweet & tart. A perfect example would be Zippy’s Guava Chiffon Cake. Mmmm..

I actually got the traditional with canadian bacon, spinach and tomato (I couldn’t find a picture). I picture hollandaise sauce to be rich with a hint of lemon juice. I wish that their hollandaise was more on the rich side. The english muffin was a bit on the soggy side but overall it was delicious. I’m going to be trying the Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict on my next visit to Cinnamons
If you are ever in the Kailua area I would highly recommend going to Cinnamon’s. On my next visit I’m definitely trying their Red Velvet Pancakes. It looks super delicious!

YES! You must have the red velvet pancakes. I was thinking that while reading your entire entry…until I got to the bottom.
Lol. Silly Jenna! Yes I’m going to try it. I was supposed to go on Saturday but something came up. I have to go some other day. But I will try it and I know it will be delicious!
DID SOMEONE SAY RED VELVET PANCAKES?
Never knew such a thing existed. Sign me up! Shit sounds fucking too delicious!
I KNOW! I was contemplating on them until I saw GUAVA and I realized how much I love guava cakes. But they were too tart.
The redvelvet looks amazing! I’m getting that on my next visit.
