Lately I haven’t been in the mood to crazy shop. I’ve been buying more “necessities” than anything else. Yes I put quotations with the word “necessities” because I didn’t really need to buy a $40 bronzer. Lol. While buying these “necessities“, I’ve come across some things that I wanted to try out. I’m not the type to really watch or read other blogs with upcoming products since I’m always on the go or too lazy to even look. Its more fun to try yourself right?!
RE-UP: NARS Bronzer in Laguna - This is the perfect shade for me, not too dark and no touches of bright orange that I’m deathly afraid of. I love how its not harsh and NARS powders are smooth so they are currently my favorites (I use only NARS powders on my face).
RE-UP: Purity facial cleanser - Ok. This is one of the facial cleansers I got based off of a make-up guru on Youtube. It has instant results where it leaves your face feeling soft and smooth. I also use this product with my Clairsonic and it just cleans your skin from makeup and keeps it clear (for the most part).
RE-UP: Maybelline Volum’express Mascara in Blackest Black - I’ve used Dior, Benefit, YSL, mostly all the high-end mascaras and this one is my favorite. Ok, Dior is my #1 but this one is a close second. I love how the wand spreads the mascara and thickens it. I just wish it was a more intenst black. Like how Dior’s black seems more blacker than most black mascaras (wow say that three times fast). Plus, the price point of $7 is much better than $30+
NEW-UP: Total Matteness - My face has been annoying oily. I know one of the causes is my favorite Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer (funny since its supposed to be oil-free). Throughout the day you can just see my face being shiny and I don’t like to cake on too much powder so I have to oil-blot throughout the day. I just started using this product two days ago. Review soon!
NEW-UP: Anastasia’s Eye-Covet - Eye-liner is my absolute, most important thing to have. Take away everything but my eye-liner! It is the holiday season so there is going to be a lot of gift boxes which is really the most bang for your buck if you are looking for all types of colors and/or limited/popular shades. I decided to try this since the packaging says you can pretty much use it for everything eye. It dares you to even try a cat-eye. I don’t know you, but when I do a cat-eye, it needs to be on point. It’s a strong statement and it needs to have a strong eye-liner to make that happen. I’m currently using Stila liquid eye-liner which has been my go-to for the past few months. I tried to use the Anastasia to make a cat-eye, it is possible, just not for me. I do love it on the waterlines and how it has some glitter in the mix. My favorite ones are the glitter ones! The swatch on my hand shows the shades and if you rub your finger over it, it doesn’t budge btw. It does last for a very long time so I highly recommend it but not for cat-eyes. Did I mention that I recommend it, but not for cat-eyes? Hah
HAVE AN AMAZING WEEK GUYS! It’s getting close to Halloween & then yummy Thanksgiving food!
