March 2010 recap.

Apr 07

I’ve come to the realization that I am a workaholic. This is one of the longer months and I don’t recall having too many breaks. But besides work, there was some upsides!

The last week in the month I got to go to las Vegas with my cousin Cher, Mark and JKO. This was the first time that I ever stayed at the Wynn resort. Mind you, it was amazing! I have to say though, things in vegas has surely changed since i visited two years ago. When in the hell did all these places needed a deposit amount even after you already paid for the room and all that? After we already paid Hertz the rental car and all of the fees we had to pay a $200 security deposit. And then when we got to the Wynn hotel we had to pay a $450 security deposit. There was no warning whatsoever about all of these security deposits. It really does cut into the spending money for gambling and shopping.

Any who.. It was quite an adventure. It was Chery and Mark’s first time at Vegas. We got to eat at Hash House A Go-Go which was visited by Man VS Food. That place is pretty amazing. My cousin and I split the chicken & waffles. They had bacon inside of the waffles! JKO had this pancake that was a size of a medium Pizza Hut pizza that he couldn’t finish. And Mark had this amazing avacado burger that he demolished on his own because it was so delicious. We also got to visit Serendipity 3. After watching the movie Serendipity, we had to taste their popular frozen hot chocolate. Besides their terrible service, the 12″ chili dog, potato skins, and frozen hot chocolate was delicious. *WARNING: If you’re extremely hungry and looking to eat a double cheeseburger from there, don’t get it unless you want a burger with no buns. And those assholes didn’t even bother mentioning that it didn’t come with any.

We unfortunately didn’t get to try in-n-out burger, Bellagio buffet, and The Olive Garden. Hopefully next time.

Gambling was fun. Slots were nicer to me this time. I also learned how to play craps. A little late in the game, but it’s great practice for next time.

March went by fairly quickly. Nothing too exciting except for the trip to Vegas.

Hopefully April flies by because my boss promised me a break. A weeks worth. :)

The iPad has arrived!

Apr 04

A few posts ago, I had blogged about Apple’s most-talked-about device called the iPad. The only bad thing about it, to me anyways, was the name. It wasn’t the most creative and of course many people think of feminine products.

It finally came out on Saturday and I wasn’t even aware. I found out through my boss. Of course I had to take a little break to check it out. I got to the Ala Moana Apple store at about 7pm and it was still packed with people. I was just watching many people having fun with the ipads and listening to some of the workers. I had to try one myself so I bought one!

So far, so good. I’m liking it so far. Except for the fact that I can’t play some of my favorite games on here. The touch screen keyboard is ok. I mean, there’s much more errors. But overall, not so bad.

I give it a 3 out of 5 stars. ;) and I’m also blogging from my iPad.
